In this class we will explore piercing metal. We will choose a piercable pattern, transfer to that pattern to metal, saw out the pattern, dome the piece using dapping punches, then create earrings including a basic wrapped bead. Choice of several patterns, option to upgrade to silver at an additional cost.
If you choose to use your own pattern, please contact me well ahead of class, and I will review it with you.
Tools required:
Instructor will provide limited tools for sharing. 3M sandpaper strips and size 3/0 sawblades will also be available.
If you don’t want to share, please bring:
Jeweler’s saw
Needle Files (half round at minimum)
Pencil
