Instructor: Dale “Cougar” Armstrong
Dale “Cougar” Armstrong is a rockhound, a lapidary, and a full-time wire jewelry artist, instructor and author with a background in the fine arts, cloisonné and repoussé. With more than 40 years of combined experience, she uses absolutely no solder or glue in her traditional wire jewelry designs, and teaches how at events in North America, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, and Switzerland. Author of numerous magazine and Internet articles, and the bestselling book, “Wirework: An Illustrated Guide to the Art of Wire Wrapping”, Dale has also made more than 70 instructional DVDs, is a member of the Beadalon Design Team, and a live product presenter on Jewelry Television. Learn to handcraft individual prongs and set a faceted stone into a stunning, versatile pendant that really “celebrates” the stone. Believe it or not, almost any size or shape faceted stone will work with this design! Each student will make two settings, almost guaranteeing that they will wear one pendant out of class. The workshop fee includes teacher’s fee, all necessary silver wire and choice of one faceted stone to make one pendant in class, and written follow-up instructions.


Special Notes or requirements: Instructor will have tools for everyone to use in class, or you may bring your own: flat, chain, 3-step square, and round nose pliers; wire cutters; foot long ruler; work surface; pin vise; ultra fine marker; graduated, smooth metal ring mandrel. Please bring your camera to take photos of difficult steps! Cancellation policy: no refunds will be given after January 13, 2017.
