For over 20 years, she has taught jewelry-making & needlecrafts at Santa Monica College and various other Los Angeles locations. She also designs and fabricates hand-crafted jewelry using a variety of materials, including wire, beads, cord, gemstones, Swarovski crystal, sheet metal and chain. Her expertise includes beading, macrame, wirework, chain maille, bead weaving, metalwork and other techniques. As a jewelry teacher as well as a designer, she loves learning and incorporating new techniques and methods. She has a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, and an MS in Education from Long Island University. Having a textile design background, she especially enjoys adapting fiber techniques for jewelry and using macrame, crochet, spool knitting, netting, weaving, knotting and braiding.
