The constant theme of her work has always been attention to detail, good craftsmanship and dramatic, yet elegant, one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Her work can be found at several higher end shows throughout California, Arizona and Nevada. She has been an exhibiting artist at the Laguna Beach Art-A-Fair for the past 17 years and has taught wire work aboard a Celebrity cruise ship to Alaska. Both novice and skilled wire workers will benefit from techniques learned in one of Merilou’s classes.

Fee includes sterling silver wire, Swarovski pearls, Swarovski crystals, a jeweler’s polishing cloth, a fleece work surface and a copy of my 12 page instruction book featuring complete instructions with color step by step photographs, all of which is yours to take home. You will also have the use of all tools to complete the project in class.
This little bauble is quite the attention getter. I will show you how to size the ring to fit your hand and, with this information, you can create more in the future to give as gifts. We will be using Swarovski pearls and crystals but, in the future, if you desire something a bit more demure you can use smaller beads. On the other hand, if you want to make a statement you may desire to use more flashy beads. The choice is yours!
Learn about wire temper, wire gauges and wire shapes as well as all about the necessary tools. You will learn how to measure enough wire, how to straighten and clean your wire, how to create a bundle of wire and how to bind the bundle of wire. I will also teach you how to wrap the shank of your ring. Class is limited to 6 so register early!
