Cat Burton is a certified Art Clay Senior Instructor and PMC Level 2 Instructor. She has been teaching since March 2012 and is proficient in silver metal clay and copper clay. She teaches many levels of metal clay classes, including Art Clay certifications, at her home studio, located in Prescott Valley, Arizona. In this technique rich class, you will form a hollow lentil bead by creating two textured domes
and punching holes without distorting the shape. You will learn how to sand and attach the
halves so there is no visible seam. To complete the piece, you will add layered decorative
elements, a clay bezel-set CZ, and a simple textured bail. Projects will be finished and fired in
class, but tumbling and patina will be on a time permitting basis. Class includes all materials,
use of tools, and firing. Previous Metal Clay experience is helpful but not required.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
