Instructor: Cat Burton
Cat Burton is a certified Art Clay Senior Instructor and PMC Level 2 Instructor. She has been teaching since March 2012 and is proficient in silver metal clay and copper clay. She teaches many levels of metal clay classes, including Art Clay certifications, at her home studio, located in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Her desire is to pass the excitement and magic of metal clay on to others who claim they don’t have a creative bone in their bodies and believes that, by surrounding ourselves with inspirational and supportive people, we will always keep our creative batteries charged.

In this class you will learn how to set CZs in bezels that you create out of metal clay. You will
learn how to carve feathers, add wings, and perch him on a branch as he settles in for the night. He is sure to capture everyone’s attention as he nestles next to your heart. After your piece is fired and brushed, if time permits, you will apply a patina to bring out the definition of the texture. Projects will be finished in class. This class is suitable for someone who has had some experience with metal clay. An intro is recommended but not necessary.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
