Rebecca Ann Combs has always had a passion for adventuring, creating, and teaching. The combination has led her around the world to her new home in Tucson, Arizona. There she founded Design & Adorn in 2008, a jewelry supply store specializing in Kumihimo and beadwork. A well-respected instructor, Rebecca has over twenty years of teaching experience, including at the Bead & Button Show in Milwaukee, Wis. and the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. She is the author of Kumihimo Basics & Beyond, Kumihimo Braiding with Beads, and Kumihimo Jewelry Simplified.

Learn how to make beautiful braids for necklaces, bracelets, key chains, and more! Kumihimo braids are beautiful on their own and are a fabulous backdrop for focal beads, pendants, and charms.

In Kumihimo 101 you’ll learn how to make an 8-warp braid using beautiful satin cord. You’ll also learn how bind the braid and finish with an endcap.
Most students will finish the project in class!
Tools to bring: scissors
Kit Includes: round foam kumihimo disk, 8 plain bobbins, satin cord, endcap, binding, thread, glue, and written instructions.
