Instructor: Julie Haymaker
Julie graduated with a degree in Illustration from Kendall School of Design in Michigan . She moved to Kansas City and worked for Hallmark Cards as a greeting card designer . After 10 years with Hallmark she pursued her dream and moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where she became a freelance artist and had gallery representation for her one of a kind pieces of art . Wander lust and desire hit again and she headed to California to study fine metal smithing and ceramics at California College of Arts and Crafts. Using her variety of skills Julie has created her own mixed media style, and has been working in this area for the past 10 years. She also teaches, thus sharing her passion with others

Using shrink plastic we will from unique flower shaped beads using the instructors special molds. A flower body will then be created for our fairy. She will also have shrink plastic Iridescent wings. A tiny cabochon paper clay head will be formed and will rest in a bezel. Our fairy’s skirt will flow using ribbons, lace and wire wrapped beaded chain legs . More shrink plastic flower beads will adorn her chain and when complete she is ready to fly home with you.




Special Notes or requirements: You may want to bring you own set of pliers to this class- Round Nose , Chain nose and Wire Clippers . How ever plierset will be provided.
