Instructor: Jeannine M. Mankins
Jeannine has been teaching beading and wire classes for the better part of 16 years in Sacramento, California and in the surrounding area bead stores. Jeannine has also been fortunate enough to teach at Bead Fest Philadelphia, Arlington, Tacoma, Santa Fe and the Bay Area Bead Extravaganza in Oakland, California. Jeannine has been a lifelong crafter, loves the creative process and inspiring others to find their way through it. “There is nothing more gratifying then handing several different people the same materials and instructions and see the different creations they come up with. I also love helping them through challenges that arise and watching them gain confidence in skills which may have created frustration previously. It's what drives me to create new designs and in turn, teach those designs to others.”

Fees: $60 » Class fee + $18 Bead Kit (bead kit payable at class)

Micro macramé is a great way to capture that cabochon, sea glass, flat stones, and coins or shell you found. It is a fun, and not–so-common way of creating a bezel for your piece. This technique gives your piece a more organic and earthy appearance. This is an intermediate beginner class and some macramé experience is helpful. You will learn the knots used to form the bezel, and how to finish it into a necklace. Class size limited to 10 people.
Skill Level: Beginner Intermediate, some macramé experience is helpful. Students must bring their own tools to include: Chain Nose Pliers, Cutters/Nippers, Bead Mat and Measuring Device.
