Classic Chain MailleJanuary 8, 9:00am - 1:00pm (ALREADY PAST)Wirework Class By Merilou JenkinsClass Fee: $145.00 (no refunds after December 15, 2022)
Skill Level: Beginner
There are many chain maille weaves but the Byzantine is my favorite beginner’s weave. It’s
simple to make, easy to learn and wonderful to look at. The weave is actually comprised of
smaller units each consisting of 14 jump rings. After you master the basic weave you can change
things up by adding different metals to parts of the weave. There are infinite variations. This
bracelet is worn by both men and women and can be expanded for a necklace/chain. We will be
using fairly small rings so I would suggest some sort of battery operated light and magnification
so you can see well. It is important to close the rings properly.
You will receive all the necessary jump rings, a jeweler’s polishing cloth, a fleece work surface
and a copy of my 12 page instruction book featuring complete instructions with color step by
step photographs, all of which is yours to take home. All tools and materials will be provided
