This class will touch on making molds of objects found in nature and also carving rubber blocks when a mold cannot be made. You will form a spruce branch using an already carved block and dry it on a dome form for dimension. While it is drying, you will create CZ “berries,” a molded bail, and other embellishments. After sanding your branch, these embellishments will be attached. Time permitting, pieces can be tumbled and patina added. Previous metal clay experience is recommended, but not required. Workshop fee includes all materials and use of tools. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
