Learn two Kumihimo techniques in one class! Learn how to create a braided cord and how to add beads to your braided cord! In this class you’ll complete 2 Kumi Style bracelets. Kumihimo is an ancient form of Japanese braiding, but there are a vast number of designs that one can create with a foam Kumihimo disk, the right cords and beads. We’ll start with cord before attempting to use beads, to allow you to learn the basics of the Kumihimo braiding basic and master the braided sequencing. Next, let’s get fancy by adding beads to create a 2nd bracelet as you learn to Kumihimo with beads, too.
