Skill Level: Beginner
No experience required! This is a basic class. You will learn about the elements of design
including, but not limited to, line, space and color, as well as the principles of design such as
unity, balance and contrast. You will learn how to use crimps and crimp covers as well as how to
create a multi-strand necklace. We will then apply these elements and principles to creating an
ethnic necklace.
The class fee includes all the materials necessary to create your necklace such as beading wire,
gold (natural) coral, African beads, a focal pendant, miscellaneous beads and findings and a copy
of my 12 page instruction book featuring complete instructions with color step by step
photographs, all of which is yours to take home.
All tools will be provided for you to use in class. Class size is limited to 6 so register early!

Skill Level: Beginner
Kumihimo is traditional Japanese braiding and the technique goes back to the time of the
Samurai. You do not really need much in the way of tools to get started and I have included most
all that you will need for many projects. Once you learn this technique the door is open to
creating many, many pieces. . .different bracelets, necklaces, even earrings.
Your kit includes a Kumihimo disc, a “big eye” needle, some binding thread, some bead
stoppers, a wonderful selection of “pip” beads, seed beads, a fleece work surface and a copy of
my 12 page instruction book featuring complete instructions with color step by step photographs,
all of which is yours to take home. Everything is provided for you in class and all you need to
bring is a smile!

Skill Level: Beginner
This pendant may look complex but the even Peyote stitch is quite simple to master
and once learned is exciting and fun. You can use Peyote to make many different
types of jewelry. In this workshop you will complete a beautiful pendant with a beaded
bezel that you can be proud to wear home.
Learn how to take a cabochon and wrap multiple rows of beads around it using various
colors which will enhance and beautify your centerpiece. We will be using 6 lb Fireline,
a size 12 beading needle, and size 8/0 and size 11/0 seed beads to make this lovely
piece. A detailed instruction book is included which is yours to take home. Choices of
pendant and bead colors vary and will be available to pick when you arrive at class.
Since we are working with small beads you are encouraged to bring a magnifier light if
you feel you need it for this workshop. Class is limited to 6 students so register early.

Wirework

Skill Level: Beginner
Bracelets can be worn day or night, either alone or stacked together.. This is a basic class that
will teach you all of the necessary steps for creating a wire wrapped piece that is a bit different.
In this class you will learn about measuring and straightening the wire. You will also learn how
to bundle all the wires together and hold everything in place with strategically placed wraps, how
to make the clasp and how to determine bracelet sizes for small, medium and larger sized wrists.
Learn about wire temper, wire gauges and wire shapes as well as all about the necessary tools.
You will be working with both dead soft and half hard wire and will also learn how to twist the
wire. The class fee includes both sterling silver and 14KGF wire, a jeweler’s polishing cloth, a
fleece work surface and a copy of my 12 page instruction book featuring complete instructions
with color step by step photographs, all of which is your to take home. I supply all of the tools
needed to create this project during class so all you need to do is bring a smile!

Skill Level: Beginner
No experience required! Even though this looks extra fancy, this is a basic class and a foundation
for many other types of wire wrapping. After this class you will be able to use any size cabochon
to create a pendant of any size or shape of pendant. You will be able to vary your designs by
adding or subtracting beads or crystals in a number of ways. I will provide many tips so you can
produce a beautiful sterling silver wrapped pendant. You will also learn about wire sculpture. A
black silk cord will be provided so you can proudly wear your creation home!
